We have a DONOR * FREE PROJECT

This week has been very emotional for me. I got home from New Zealand and with plane cancellations and missed flights
it took me over 24 hours to get home.
I was literally not able to function from the jet lag. Thankfully,
I am feeling much more normal. A little rest and family time is all that I needed.
Yesterday, Ty and I went to Huntsmen again. The first round of chemo was harsh on Ty. The treatment that they finally decided to do is called SALVAGE. Yes, we do not like this name. I was joking and thinking it should have been called something some positive like SUNSHINE. I know crazy right? Ty told me that in
the hospital he encountered a oncologist that was very discouraging and treated him that he was going to die at any moment. This is hard for any patient and I know that encouragement is so very important. It's vital to stay positive and that is the only
way we look and approach Ty's treatment.
He had to be readmitted to the hospital due to kidney issues after his last treatment. We realize each day can and is a challenge.  Right now, we are
dealing with low platelet counts so they probably will have to move the chemo treatments to
three weeks apart. We were sad that both his sister and brother did not match. YESTERDAY... the GREAT NEWS was that they found a donor match for Tyler.
It was a 10/10 or 9/10 match. This is as PERFECT as it gets when it is not a sibling donor.
They told us it was the next best thing to a family sibling match and to consider this to be very good news.
It is more likely that after Ty's allogenic stem cell transplant he will likely have more rejection issues with
rejection and engrafting issues.

It was again an emotional moments when we found that they had found the donor match for my husband. They did not give us any information as of yet as to who the donor is.
I am so thankful and I know so is my
husband. I cannot express who much I want to thank this person and every single person who has went to bethematch.org and registered to donate. This is the ULTIMATE gift to my husband and so many cancer patients. This is the only way to save these transplant patients life. I am overcome with thankfulness that this person choose to be tested. Wow... words are just not sufficient.

While I was teaching in New Zealand, I did a MAKE N TAKE at the crop on Friday night.
I wanted to share the visuals with you and you could recreate something similar.

You will need a MANILA office file folder for the book.

The cover is using BAZZILL white card stock that has been embossed with the TC embosser machine (Craftwell) and the COLLAGE WORD TC embossing folder. The file folders and die cut words are all from my DAILY STORIES FILE FOLDER and Dimensional Butterfly.  I even cut the pennants from the bottom of the file folder. I added white seam binding ribbon and my pink flower. (TC liquid adhesive/Xyron).

I called this project THIS IS JUST  ME-
I think it's important to document YOU
and your life... who you are.

This is the inside of the folder. I added photos and lift up photo flaps inside the SUNDAY- SATURDAY
large file folder.

I am obsessed with things that LIFT UP and my PUNCHES. I used the STAR fishers punch on my mini file folder.
I am loving the NEGATIVE cut out design.

I embossed my HAUNTED HALLOWS- this is my glittered SILVER paper
from three years ago that I have KEPT aka hoarded. I loved running the 4x12 piece of paper through my WOODGRAIN COTTAGE EMBOSSING folder (TC Craftwell).

I used my flip up page from the DAILY STORIES FILE FOLDERS (shoe photo). You can get six
photos on this lift up page this way.
I then used the WOODGRAIN on white Bazzill card stock and the HERRINGBONE (TC Craftwell)
embossing folders on my silver glittered paper.
I love adding the white doily to add a feminine touch.
ALL of the die cut sentiments come with my DAILY STORIES file folders.

FROM MY DAUGHTERS PERSPECTIVE... NYC

I AM ON MY WAY TO THE AUCKLAND AIRPORT. TIME TO HEAD HOME. I LOVE NEW ZEALAND. I LOVE JODI AND MICHELE SO MUCH.
I am so fortunate that they already asked me back.
WATCH for details.
I love the women and culture of kindness and goodness here.
I have been on a mission to share my story to to try to
inspire them in their DAILY CREATIVE life.
So I saw that my Gentry posted a new blog post. Yes, I subscribe.
Wow... I am blessed with FIVE super amazing children by birth and TWO more super
wonder children that ARE mine just the same. I love my SEVEN with my heart and soul. So much of WHAT I do is that they are proud to be my
child. I want to have integrity and always show kindness always
and make the world better. I know that I am so not perfect, but
I am proud of EACH of them.
I wanted to share Gentry's blog today with you.
I loved her perspective of NYC and the DEBUT of my collection there.
Yes, she is biased since I am her mom. So know that I am
flattered by her words.

Gentry's BLOG:
Just got back from New York for the National Stational Show with Teresa Collins Designs and it was such an amazing trip! So many wonderful things happened at the show and we got to have fun while there.

We took a Red-eye flight and it was... a red-eye. I was in the middle seat with somebody I didn't know next to me and let me tell you it is hard to sleep in that condition.

We stayed at The New Yorker hotel and this is Taylor and I right when we got there. The room was TINY. There were four of us climbing all over each other through out the week. Luckily we all didn't pack TOO much (except my mom--- overpacked much?!).

Booth set-up started right away. My mom designed a GORGEOUS booth and had such a wonderful vision. Unfortunately when we got there somebody had STOLEN the wood flooring for the booth from the center the night before. That set us back a whole day setting up while new arrangements were made and they set it up. Once that was done though we were able to get in there and design the booth and get product up all in a couple hours. The accent wall was gold foil vinyl and was gorgeous! it was my first time installing vinyl and it went pretty well... now I am tempted to decorate my home! Devan wasn't fond of the idea though.

STUDIO GOLD is her new stationery collection and it is seriously AMAZING. I cannot wait until it is all in because I need it ALL. Foiled cards, calendar, notebook, tassel banners, labels, gold clipboards, stationery and envelopes, gift wrap and MORE. SO many cool things. She is such an amazing designer. I remember back in January when this collection was first started I just KNEW it was going to be something so new and fresh. I wish you could all see it in person, but click here to see the collection online.

Everybody that came in the booth got a little "shot of glitter"... I was obsessed with these.

The show was four days and was beyond what any of us could have expected. Get ready to be seeing A LOT of Teresa Collins Designs all around you.

When not at the show we got to see a bit of the city and it was SO fun. Because I am a picture addict and there are SO many of them I will try to stop rambling so much and just let you enjoy.

Battery Park: statue of liberty

Cute candy store... SO overpriced.

Central park... i'm in love. Wish I could have spent more time in this place.

TC (on the right) is one of my moms best friends and is SO amazing. I absolutely love her and was so glad she could come on the trip with us. Even better I get to see her in a couple of weeks when I go to Florida for HSN with my mom.

Waffles and Dinges... AMAZING.

Cute rooftop restaurant.

We were treated to so authentic Chinese food by Craftwell and it was definitely not what I thought of when I normally thought of Chinese food. It was such a great experience trying new foods though.

World Trade Center memorial. Definitely a sobering place to be.

Isn't my mom HAWT?! I definitely hope that I look like her when I am her age.

Well hopefully you've been able to see a peek into our fun week. Hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend.
