EVERYBODY'S GOT SOMETHING

It never fails to help me appreciate something I have until it is gone. I got my two lost suitcases last night around 9:30 pm at the hotel. HAPPY dance since I have had the same clothes since Tuesday on.  I had washed my clothes each day in the hotel bathroom. I taught the entire day without my project. Everyone was wonderfully kind and seemed to enjoy the class. Today I will teach the same 6 hour workshop to a new group. I am looking forward to having all my tools and supplies. I also did a make n take last night. We are having a really nice time here. I love these women so much. They are truly so kind and welcoming. I had girls offer to let me borrow their clothes. I had girls giving me the most thoughtful gifts all day yesterday. I especially LOVED the shower gel (amazing and smells yummy- it's called ORANGE & Jasmine by THE AROMATHERAPY CO.) and its made right here in New Zealand. Trust me... amazing!

I taught this workshop and will be teaching it again in FL next month at SHE SCRAPBOOKS. It's called HELLO LIFE with my card sets from WRMK.

This is just a few images of the BIG project. However, it's really simple to do and you are DOCUMENTING
YOUR LIFE
YOUR PHOTOS
YOUR STORY

this is meaning and WHY
I do what I do.  I design and
hope to inspire others to
TAKE MORE PHOTOS
PRINT THOSE PHOTOS
and JOURNAL and DOCUMENT the MEMORIES.

I just finished reading the most amazing book-
EVERYBODY'S GOT SOMETHING
by Robin Roberts with Vernoica Chambers
I was so shocked a few months ago with Robin Roberts emailed
me. I was so touched by her thoughtful, kindness and true
inspiration. I was touched she had read my blog.
She has no
idea how much I look up to her and
how much reading her book has helped
me as we are fighting this CANCER again
and going to have to do the same bone marrow transplant.
The first one did not work and I have so many
questions and concerns. My husband is so brave
and strong but this is scary. Her book, her spirit...just
gave me so much strength again.

She has a positive attitude and I can relate to her. She is a TV anchor for a major network. She has it all. Yet, she realizes that
death and sickness does effect us all. I wanted to share a few
passages from her book that inspired me. Please
go buy her book. She is incredibly honest and real and it's on
my bucket list now to met her. I am on #teamrobin.

These are some things she wrote:
"There's an understanding that hard times do not discriminate. My mother used to say, "Everybody's got something." This was the story of Robin's something and how she fought
and battled against her something.

She talked about not staying mad. She said that "it takes courage to believe that the best is yet to come."  When we face adversity it's easy to become bitter and mad and this does not help. Stay positive. I believe this is true.

She said something so profound...
"MAKE YOUR MESS YOUR MESSAGE."
Wow.
Wow.
Wow.
Robin, I get this. I am so passionate about documenting
and sharing life AS IT REALLY IS.
The good and the bad. My message is one of
HOPE and deep FAITH as we pray
for my husband to get better.
As I pray for a donor to be a match.
I know that life is so precious...each day.
Don't spend wasted time and energy on
negativity and things that simply don't matter.

THIS MESS... can be my message too.

I think my most favorite thing she said was this:
"You can have sad sorrow or happy sorrow.
I choose to be happy even in difficult times.
Uplifting thoughts and actions.
Nowhere is it written that we should not be happy.
We don't get extra bonus points for
drudgingly going through life."

Robin Roberts you are a wise woman. I feel like
I can relate to her. I have made a choice like her to look for happiness and the good in a hard and sad journey.
My husband needs me to be positive and encourage him more than ever. I won't let him down. I want and need him to fight...

FIGHT like he has never fought. I need him to not
give up. THIS is so mental. The chemo is brutal. We have went through this once and we know that this time is even worst.
It's hard to stay positive but we have to.  If you want to
read a book that will UPLIFT and INSPIRE you
it is this amazing book.

I will be in New Zealand for another day and I'm home by lunch on Monday. Yes, a super fast trip but that is my life.
I love what I am doing and I hope to inspire others as I make MY MESS MY MESSAGE too. Ty will be hospitalized on Tuesday
for round two of the chemo again. I will be with him
as we face this next battle.

I love EACH of you so much.
Your words and prayers are so appreciated.

I just shared something like this on my Facebook: Don't ever let anyone make you feel like you can't be happy EVERY SINGLE DAY. People may think this is not real life, but it canbe. Find the happiness in your every day and hold onto it until tomorrow.

You are the inspiration for a lot of these words. Thank you always for being so inspiring! Thinking of you and Ty always. Hold each other's hands as tight as possible and together you will get through anything!!

Glad you got your suitcase BUT didn't a suitcase go missing a month or so ago too? Same airline? Craziness!
