272 MAN HOURS....

Right now... I am almost to JFK airport. I'm on my way to teach in Puerto Rico. I am filming tomorrow for Creativa TV too. This is the last week of school for my kids. I love this week. I am blessed with only (yes ONLY) two children (boys) at home now. I adore them! I love that their friends know me. Did you know that I am called Mother Teresa by Zach's closest friends? ha-

Yesterday, I did MEDIA TRAINING. I learned so much from Cathy. She is an expert and she helped me with all my skills and helps others to learn new skills. Sorry, not allowed to share. However, if you are looking for someone to coach you and only make you better with media skills I can hook you up. She is in Utah and wow... I love that she does not change WHO you are... just shows you ways to enhance YOU and your own personality. It was FABULOUS and  I want to thank CRAFTWELL for giving this opportunity to me. YES, I have a BIG day coming up.

JUNE 11th MARK YOUR CALENDARS

It is the 24 HOUR  HSN CRAFT DAY NEXT WEEK. Guess what?

I have the TS for the day. You will see me ALL DAY long debuting my products that I love and truly believe in. I have the TODAY'S SPECIAL. I'm not sure if I can share WHAT it is. I can share a photo though....

This is my BRAND NEW MACHINE with CRAFTWELL. It is the Teresa Collins Cut N' Emboss machine. Well, Craftwell, HSN and I listened to you. My TC eBosser machine sold out. I mean NONE were left. We had NO MORE machines to sell. We did not expect the machine to sell out so fast from the debut in September and my last visit on HSN.  Craftwell has been out of the machine for a bit. We had to react fast and this is the updated machine... you know like the latest model of a car. This machine is smaller, has golden cabana stripes, weighs a little less... we listened to YOUR feedback and what you wanted. All we heard was that you wanted Teresa Collins thin metal dies. We did it. This brand new machine will come with my exclusive VERY detailed thin metal GOLDEN dies to match the machine. I will be sharing more... but let's just say NEXT WEDNESDAY is worth watching HSN all day. Yes, it's so big... Craftwell,  and Gentry and my girlfriend are going to help me all day. I will be selling ITEMS that are debuting for the FIRST TIME ever in the world. So make sure you mark that date!

This is my 15 year old son Tyler. He is proudly sitting on my SURPRISE. I came home from Media Training to hear him call me to my bedroom. I walked in and saw this beautiful large cedar chest.

I was shocked to see it. He came and hugged me and told me that he had made it for me in wood shop class. This boy... heard me tell him when school started how I love the smell of CEDAR. It reminds me of home. My dad had a special closet made that was all cedar. I loved going into it and reading wtih a  flashlight. I told him how CEDAR reminds me of my parents, home and North Carolina. It's a big memory of childhood. Little did I know that he was listening...

So he decided to make me this chest. It was the BIGGEST project any middle grade student has EVER done. It took him 272 man hours and the entire school year to complete. It is gorgeous. It smells like HOME. I just needed this so much... especially yesterday. I was so impressed with him detailed workmanship. The lid opens and it looks like a beautiful piece that you would have purchased. THIS is my mosted prized furniture/object I will ever have. His thoughtfulness... wow... I was just so in shock. I had no idea. He had stayed after school many times this year in order to do this project. He would forgo going to his friends after school and worked on this piece for me. I  had no idea. My heart is beyond touched for my son's gift. HEARTFELT in every way. I love you Tyler and I am so proud to be your mother. Know that I think you are so SPECIAL.

That is so truly awesome and such a sweet thing for a 15 year old boy to do for his momma. I love to see kids who aren't embarrassed to show they truly love their family. It will certainly be a near and dear to your heart piece forever. He will be a great husband for some lucky girl one day. Can't wait to see all your goodies next week. My sweet girl is at VBS so I'm free to watch - yay!!!

Tyler has an amazing talent, I know you're so very proud of him. Imagine what he'll accomplish in life. It's so cool that your son's school offers such classes. My brothers took them in high school in the late 70's. I don't think they're offered anymore. Have you decided what treasures you will store in it ?

Wow! What an enormous surprise and delight! I, too, love the smell of cedar. Three years ago when my mother was downsizing to a much smaller house I got her old hope chest that looks very similar to the one your son made. It is lined with cedar and is for storing things that might get eaten by insects. The cedar is a good natural repellent. Yes, this will be your most cherished piece of furniture. What a sterling kid!
