It takes EFFORT.... BIG CHANGES

I thought of this quote as I watched a snapchat from Kayla. I'm so proud of her. She is going back to school to get her interior design degree. GO HER!!!!! Matt and her have 4 children now so I was really proud of her for making this big decision. Especially when it will NOT be easy to balance kids, a super busy husband & his work demands and now school. One of her professors talked about TALENT. She posted a small segment on her snapchat. I totally agreed with what he shared.

I think I hear people say to me WAY too often. I'm not talented. I also hear, I just don't know WHAT my talent is. I know sometimes it takes us a while to figure it out.  TALENT is nothing without putting forth the hard work and effort.

I have some BIG news to share. My cute and talented husband has left the law firm that he was a partner at. Yes, he is officially on his own. I am super proud of him and for this massive desire to start his own law practice.

I could not be more PROUD of this guy. He is smart and driven.  Also, he is SUPER cute. (of course, I have to say this- and it's true!!!!)

So TODAY I wanted to tell him how he has inspired me. I know he is going to DO and BE amazing. So if you are looking for an attorney, he's the BEST!!!!

Mr. Webber was the Chairman of Clyde Snow’s Health Care Practice Group. In over 15 years of practice, he has represented a wide range of health care professionals, entities, and facilities in both DOPL proceedings and civil litigation. He also represents clients in complex commercial litigation, products liability, and other areas in both state and federal courts. Mr. Webber has successfully tried a number of cases to a jury as lead counsel, and has argued before the Utah Supreme Court and the U.S. Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.

The reality is YOU can be so massively talented at something and not be as successful as you would like.  Brian and I both talk endlessly about this and especially as he has been preparing to leave his partnership in the law firm.  I know he will be so embarrassed that I shared his achievements today BUT I am so profoundly proud of his FAITH and desire to go out on his own.

Brian- I believe in YOU!

Change is always hard. He was blessed in that his departure from the firm was beyond supportive. Brian is leaving with such support and for this he is greatly thankful. He will greatly miss his colleagues but he knew it was the right time. I know he will SHINE and excel in his new venture.

What does it take???? Well, EFFORT. This quote and my thought is that it's really begins with our EFFORTS.
We can have ALL the talent in the world but if we are not working HARD in our efforts we will not see the success. I am thankful to be on this new and exciting journey with him.

Right now, I am in full blown CHA and NEW product project mode. Yes, I am living in sweatpants and hat hair. It's not pretty!!!!

I have a brand new program being DEBUTED next month nationwide exclusively at JoAnn Fabric and Crafts in addition to CHA in two short weeks. I needed to design four projects in less than a day and get them to headquarters for signage and promotions. I mailed them yesterday at almost 5pm but I made the deadline. I put all my focus and effort on making the deadline.  I still have CHA make n takes to design and meetings to finalize and set up for the show.

I am thrilled it is in Phoenix Arizona for the first time. Are you going? If you are. I will be in all my partners booth and you can join me to see my newest products with them. Also, I'm doing some very cool MAKE N TAKES.  I will post the schedule next week.

So the reality is, I'm barely eating and going around like a crazy woman trying to get this done and prepare for more meetings. I design pretty much every day and it's just a never ending job. Thankfully, it's my PASSION.
I get home from CHA on Sunday night and the next morning I leave at 8:00 am to fly to HOBBY LOBBY for a meeting. I'm not complaining... I love what I do so very much.
