As soon as we got to the hotel in Phoenix, Brian went and bought a case of water. I knew if I keep my water going, I would be hydrated. Often, I find I eat when I am thirsty and not hungry. In week two, they added a small amount of fruit and vegetables back into my eating plan. So when I went to the restaurants, I simply would ask for a grilled chicken salad. I took off all the ingredients I could not eat. I was full and never felt deprived. I had a great time! So as of this week, I have been on this journey for two weeks and lost 15.4 lbs.
TIP: I had to fly out Monday morning for a meeting and it was a quick one day trip. I again had to rely on restaurant food. I again choose to stick with salad. I also had meetings where food was right in front of my face. So I drank water with lemon and it was really what kept me busy and not thinking about the food in front of me. I did have protein bars that I purchased last week knowing I was traveling. This was AMAZING and helpful this past week.
On this program you can eat ALL your own food and you can supplement with shakes or bars or their food if you wish. I just do the shakes and bars at times. It's more a matter of convinence for me. I do love that I eat REAL food. I can buy the extras from their office if I want.
So yesterday, I was talking to the staff at my appointment and she told me that my cholesterol levels prior to starting the diet was INSANELY high. I mean CRAZY high numbers. Thankfully, this diet is so much more than the number on the scales for me. I want to FEEL good. This gave me the biggest motivation to keep it up. I am still doing ZERO diet sodas. I drink plain old cold water, and propel. I swear I feel so great and I'm not hungry. I eat 5 times a day. Nothing is motivating me more than those scary numbers of my cholesterol and having blood pressure issues that I have never had before.
So I'm in week 3 and each week the dietician changes what I eat. I tell her what I love and want and she writes it down. I eat the same foods at the same times for the entire week. I know that sounds hard but it's PERFECT for me. So I'm sharing what I eat this week:
9:00 am: 6 egg whites/ 1/2 cup veggies
10:30 am: Shake & 1/4 avacodo (snack)
12:00: LUNCH Romaine Lettuce Salad with 1 cup veggies, 4 oz grilled chicken and balsamic vinaigrette dressing
2:30: 2 Hard boiled eggs, Albacore Tuna and celery (snack)
5:00pm: Cod 4oz, 1/2 cup veggies (asparagus)
*drink 100+ ounces of water
This week we added in exercise. Slow to start. I am now doing 3 days of 20 minutes of cardio. I can choose what I do. Then 3 days of core training. I was given a list of exercises to do.
That's it! I have to say it's easy for me because I am in the right state of mind. I am READY. I think you have to be. I am determined to hike that mountain in Mexico when we go to McKay's reception there. I am buying a treadmill this week. Walking is my thing and it's been so cold and snowy here. I am investing in ME.
Okay now for the show... UNBELIEVE... AMAZING... so thankful!
I had so many new products debuted and I was really excited for my new WHITE mega runners and X sticker makers with Xyron. They were a huge hit and you will see these cuties nationwide real soon. The pink are still available for a limited time. After the pink are gone, then they will not be back (at least for a while!)
Okay, so much more to share BUT I am working on some design deadlines so I will share more highlights from the show in the next few blog posts.
